It's not the "sweet spot" because this works identically on varying weapons. What's actually happening is the riposte or backstab, which is generally 1 or 2 punches for minimal damage and then the crit hit, is logging as 1 hit of the weapon, and then the crit hit. So instead of a grab/punch for 15 damage before the crit, it's a bonus, free hit
I've got a huge problem with my Dark Souls 2 SOTFS PC version. It is impossible for me to play online. I get disconnected quite often, but it's always different. Sometimes I get disconnected every 10 minutes, yesterday I was was online for hours and I got disconnected when I tried to summon somebody. Summoning doesn't work in 99% of all cases

Because poise, the way it works in this game, it doesn't favor any weapon class, and by not favoring a weapon class, it inevitably in turn favors: weapons with the highest DPS, weapons with the highest poise DPS. And that's not big weapons. It's small weapons. And buffs, not working as they do in 2, also favor small weapons.

Discussion. I see now why Dark Souls 1 is considered the greatest. I never thought this game would ever live upto the expectation. Before I started playing the dark souls remastered, I used to think this game was over-hyped and overpraised by the Dark Souls poise backstab veterans. Now I think about it I was so wrong.

To perform a Backstab, the player character needs to be behind the target's back, not blocking, then hit R1 (on PS3) or RB (on Xbox 360) to perform the backstab. Parry and Riposte If you are using a light or medium shield (or certain types of weapon equipped in the left hand), you can parry incoming melee attacks by pressing L2 (on PS3) or the
Rapier is still the best backstab damage weapons that DOESN'T require strength of 30plus. Some of the monster weapons can now do more damage with a backstab but you need HIGH SCALING STATS so you would need to be level 100plus. I actually managed to get my chaos rapier to do 2700 backstab damage consistently without the use of any stat scaling
ZenonDMA posted There's no frontstabbing, just bad players perceiving a backstab as a fronstab because they just don't know any better. Wrong choice of words there mate. Words lead to wars if you didn't know! Not bad players, but ignorant players. Players who don't know how online lag works in this game.
I installed Skysa with it's requirements, Elder Souls 0.9 from patreon, alongside sweep attack, halberd, flinching, parry/backstab as well as a Dark Souls movement and stamina regen. The Issue I seem to have is that while the one handed animations from what I can tell are working properly as well as the greatsword (haven't tested anything else
The remaster is both fun and a quality release regardless of what the loudest voices say. Some things could arguably have been done different or subjectively better, but all in all it's a great game and so much better than PTDE+DSFIX that there's really no valid discussion around it. #5. I havnt been playing the game for a while and i decided to pick it back up again after realizing i had never beaten it. i had no problems previously with riposteing and backstabbing but when i loaded in i realized i couldn't do it anymore. at first i thought i was just out of practice but after exploring it for awhile i found no matrter where i stood i coulnt backstab and even when i stagger a fix would be just make it double check on both sides like ds3, but still have the "hit confirm" that ds2 had in order to get it off vs no hit confirm that ds3 had resulting in facestabs. instead of doing the stab animation, you would do a grab animation like 7:10 in amirs video (hit for 1 dmg). if you successfully "grab" the player, it would .
