Getting VR working for ETS2 (on the Quest 2 at least) involves many not-so-fun steps, including repeatedly putting on the headset and taking it off (especially when going between menus and the driver's seat), and the end result is noticeably low resolution and stuttery compared to the desktop version.

I bought it, and did exactly what you did in the video. when I choose to start the game, I get three options. Play Euro Truck Simulator 2. Launch with DirectX. Launch with OpenGL. Launch with safe mode. I tried them all, and the game starts on the rift for a like 1 second, I can see some text, then it shuts down, and I can't see it in the rift Before you start the game, go into WIndows / Control Panel / Sound / Playback, and set your VR headset to “default device”. Weird, but no other way at this time I guess. Putting up in Bug now…. You can select the speaker in the system tray and select the playback device from there. There is a toggle in a config to show the game on both at the same time, but it eats resources. With 16gb of ram I'd recommend not mirroring it to both. Thank you ;-). It isn't as you need the VR beta branch for it and there are no beta branches for ETS2 won't launch in VR I have been attempting to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 in VR, but even when I untick the HMD option, it still launches into it anyway. If my points do not really help you in finding the cause of the crashes, copy-paste your 'game.log.txt' from "C:\Users\Documents\American Truck Simulator" to pastebin (the game.log is often useful to figure out what is causing crashes especially when using mods.
Theres a key to toggle the view of the menu, including the map view, to VR headset; which should be F11. If the menu is toggled/switched to be viewed on VR, the monitor won't show the menu on the game window and there's no need to take off the headset.
