LG OLED55B8 slow internet speed. Just bought this awesome tv. Noticed WiFi both (2.4ghz N, 5ghz 802.11ac) dual networks were kinda slow as 4K YouTube streaming kept buffering (Netflix was fine). Thought it may be the WiFi network so hard wired Ethernet and same thing! Download speed on LG C1 is 50-55Mbps regularly and no higher. That's 24Mbps (2MB) lost. A 1/4 of the speed. The router is 5 feet away from the TV. Here's the thing. I plug in a 4 year old HDMI firestick and use the silk browser and I get max speed (79MMbps) in the firestick HDMI input. Chiming in a little late here but better late than never. Personally I've noticed that under advanced wifi settings of the cx ipV6 was enabled by default, but my router didn't have it on. So i configured the router for ipV6. Now i am getting 100mbit/s running speedtest in the TVs webbrowser as opposed to 8-10 mbit/s.
Method 1: Updating apps. Firstly, you have to go to settings in your LG Smart TV. Then, go to My Apps to check for updates. Please update all the apps that have to be updated. Afterward, restart your LG smart TV and check if the issue is fixed. The TV show full WiFi range. In the Device status of the ORBI I see the TV connected to the router, using 5GHz and a 300+ Mbps Link Rate. But Netflix is VERY VERY slow. When I usee the connectivity test inside the netflix app it is as slow as 1-3Mbps. When I disable/enable wifi on the TV it works fine again. Apparently DV only works with MP4 containers on WebOS so technically not an issue with Jellyfin. So if you want DV on your LG TV, current workaround is to remux your MKV videos into MP4 containers.
