exactly what you say! only the PAL version has an AGS-101 thats right. in those days its very rare and difficult to find in mind / brand new condition for a decent price. the most ags-101 on ebay or other market places are in very bad condition. ive been look for a long time and finally i was lucky and saw an offer from someone on my region

If you want to replace the screen in your SP with an IPS buy a 001. It's cheaper. An AGS 101 already has a backlit screen and would be pretty wastefull removing that :p. Also most new IPS kits for the GBA are compatible with 32 and 40-pin boards so you should not have to worry about that hardware difference. ZannyHip.
